TOZO T6 Truly Wireless Headphones Review

The TOZO T6 is a good pair of true wireless earbuds that doesn’t cost much and is great for people on a budget who want to work out or take the bus. The IPX8 rating for both the earbuds and the case is a big plus, but don’t get too excited about these earbuds. The quality of the microphone isn’t very good, especially in less-than-ideal conditions, and every time it connects to a source device, the volume goes to its highest level. If you can get past that, this can be a good headset, but there are other earbuds that don’t turn up the volume every time you connect or disconnect them.

How is it to work with TOZO T6?

The TOZO T6 has a round ear tip and a round earbud, which makes it look like a lot of other average earbuds. It doesn’t have any wings or fins to help keep the earbuds in your ear, so it’s important to get a good fit. The TOZO T6 comes with six different sizes of ear tips right out of the box, so it should be easy to find a good fit.

The ear tips feel a little different. The ones with red in the middle are stiffer and thicker, while the ones that are all black are thinner. The shape of some of the all-black ones makes them look wider than they would fit in your ear, so there are two ear tips measuring 10mm and two measuring 11mm, but each will fit differently inside your ear. The earbuds also don’t have vents to relieve pressure from the ear tips sealing, so you may have to move the earbuds around a bit to get rid of the pressure.
The case is pretty small, and it fits easily into any pocket that is about average size. It has a lid that is secure enough that it won’t open by itself at the bottom of a tote bag, and magnets inside keep the earbuds in place. On the bottom of the case is a stiff plastic flap that covers the charging port. It’s hard to move, but it probably keeps water out. Both the case and the earbuds are IPX8 water-resistant, which means they can be submerged for 30 minutes in water that is more than one meter deep.

How do you make the TOZO T6 work?

Each earbud has a touch screen that lets you control playback and phone calls. The controls are easy to use and similar to those on other earbuds, so it shouldn’t be hard to remember them. There’s no app for the earbuds, so you’re stuck with the default controls. The touch controls haven’t let me down yet, which is a nice surprise for such cheap earbuds.

How do you connect the TOZO T6?

The Taylor Swift song “Anti-Hero” sounds good on these earbuds. The oscillating synthesizer in the middle sounds great behind the drum machine and vocals, but the bass synth is a little too loud through these earbuds.

The TOZO T6 is also a good way to listen to Online Songs by Blink-182, though the bass can be a bit loud because the earbuds boost the bass. Everything sounds great: the drums, the vocals, and the guitar.

The TOZO T6 connects with SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs and uses Bluetooth version 5.3. There are no other special ways to connect, like quick pairing or Bluetooth multipoint.

The JLab GO Air POP is a great alternative to the TOZO T6. It has IPX4 water resistance, great isolation, a good sound profile with extra EQ options, and a frequency response that puts less emphasis on bass than the TOZO T6. It also has a battery life that is 11 hours and 4 minutes longer. It’s also only, so for what you get, it’s a great deal.

The Skullcandy Mod XT is a little more expensive, but it’s still very cheap. These earbuds have good isolation, IP55 water and dust resistance, Bluetooth multipoint, and an app with EQ settings, firmware updates, Tile integration, and more. You can change the sound profile if you don’t like how bassy it is. It’s a great deal for.

How long does the battery last in the TOZO T6?

TOZO makes different claims about the battery life depending on whether you read the user manual, the TOZO website, or the Amazon listing. However, TOZO says that the T6’s battery will last between 6 and 8 hours. We found the 8-hour figure very accurate—in our testing playing constant music peaking at 75dB(SPL), the TOZO T6 lasted 8 hours, 8 minutes. The case can be charged with a microUSB cable or wirelessly with Qi.

If you care a lot about the environment, it’s important to be aware that batteries lose capacity over time with more charging cycles. These batteries will create e-waste, which isn’t sustainable. If you want to make less electronic waste, you should buy products with longer battery lives or use wired headphones and earbuds instead, which usually last much longer.
How good is the TOZO T6 at blocking out sound?

The TOZO T6’s isolation is pretty good, and it blocks out some of the noise around me. I can still hear my washing machine and dishwasher very clearly, but sounds like my cat scratching the couch or a pen falling on the floor are much quieter. Active noise cancellation (ANC) is much better, but it’s hard to find in earbuds in this price range.

How does the sound of the TOZO T6?

The TOZO T6 puts more weight on bass frequencies below 200Hz, which is clear from the first time you listen to it. There are also some differences from our target curve in the upper middle, but overall, it’s pretty close to our target curve. This frequency response is a little too bassy for everyone, but if you like a lot of bass, you might like it.

Low, middle, and high

Can you make phone calls with the TOZO T6?

The TOZO T6’s microphone works well for making phone calls in quiet places. Voices sound clear and audible through the microphone in ideal conditions. When it’s windy or you’re out on the street, the noise cancellation isn’t the best, but most of the time you can still be heard. If you want the TOZO T6 to give you the best sound quality possible, take your calls in a quiet place inside.

Conclusion

If you want cheap true wireless earbuds with a bass-heavy sound, the TOZO T6 is a good option. However, don’t forget that these earbuds immediately max out the volume when they reconnect to a device. This is a pretty big bother, and it could hurt your ears if you have them. The TOZO T6 is a simple pair of true wireless earbuds that won’t break the bank. It doesn’t have any noise-canceling or software features. Aside from the problem with the volume, you do get a comfortable set of earbuds with a lot of ear tip options, a standard battery life and microphone, and IPX8 water resistance for just $30 USD, which is great, but you should also think about other options.
